How to Catch Your First Stocked Trout

My First Stocked Trout of the Season! Trout Fishing at a New Location!

My First Stocked Trout of the Season Trout Fishing at a New Location - Realistic Fishing

In this episode I caught my first trout of the season! Trout fishing at a new location can definitely be challenging, but I did manage to catch something. Using some pink PowerBait Trout Bait and letting it drift in the current of a small creek, I was able to catch a stocked rainbow trout. I’ll have to go back to this park again and see if I can catch more trout in the future. I am getting pretty excited for the upcoming trout season. This video also starts off the giving season here on Realistic Fishing.

Big congrats to the winner and good luck to everyone else for the upcoming grab bags!

How to Catch Trout at a Spillway with PowerBait Power Eggs!

How to Catch Trout at a Spillway with PowerBait Power Eggs - Realistic Fishing

In this episode, we see how to catch trout at a spillway with PowerBait Power Eggs. This trout fishing lure comes in a jar just like the PowerBait Trout Bait – dough type do. The eggs are pre-formed and feel like soft rubber. I’m using the white power eggs today and they come in several different colors. With a simple rig consisting of just a pinch on sinker, a hook, and a power egg, I’m able to quickly catch a few trout. Casting it out and then letting it drift in the current is all it takes to fish this rig. If you know there are trout below a spillway somewhere near you, maybe try to catch a few on this easy PowerBait rig.

Fishing for Yellow Bass With Minnows! Is Live Bait Better than Gulp?

Fishing for Yellow Bass With Minnows Is Live Bait Better than Gulp - Realistic Fishing

For this episode I’m fishing for yellow bass with live minnows. Is live bait better than Gulp baits? I am comparing real minnows and artificial minnows today to see what happens. The first fish I catch is not a bass, but soon after I catch my first Yellow Bass. I switch to Gulp and end up catching a few more. Going back and forth a few times, I catch a couple of Skipjack on the live bait, then I catch another Yellow Bass on the Gulp. In my opinion, the live minnows did outperform the Gulp, but I will say not by much. In the end, I did catch more species on the real thing.

If you are into fishing for Yellow Bass, you can catch them now on live and artificial minnows.
